“Learning Made Easy” Study Skills Course

“Learning Made Easy” is a 5-hour study skills course that helps students from Grade 8 through college to maximize their own natural learning abilities. Getting good grades typically does not depend upon brightness or IQ. 90% of all students are bright enough to get A’s! It’s all about having the right foundational skills and learning how to work smarter, not harder. I cover all the essential topics for effective learning, such as:

Your own personal learning style
Which study activities will help you learn most easily
How to stay on the “learning curve”
Tips for doing homework
How to read a text book “actively”
The “concentration curve”
How to get the most out of class time
Note-taking techniques
How to take the “terror” out of test taking

When students complete the course, they receive a binder that contains all the information we have covered including a one-page summary for easy reference later.

Over the last twenty-five years in working with students, I have found that these topics are typically not covered in school, even though they are all essential for achieving better grades.
